Article Snippet: The wells were washed three times with PBS with Tween 20 (PBS-T) and blocked with 200 μl of 5% fetal bovine serum (FBS) for 1 h. For enzyme treatment of mucins, 75 μl of sialidase A (1 U/200 μl; Prozyme, CA, USA) diluted 1:200 and β(1-4)-galactosidase (0.5 U/100 μl; Prozyme, CA, USA) diluted 1:50 in 50 mM Na 3 PO 4 , pH 6.0, were added per well, and the plates were incubated for 11 h at 37°C.
